Privacy Policy

Wilhelmswerk does not collect personal data through Running Robots. The app requires no account and uses no developer-operated server. It contains no analytics or advertising SDKs, tracking or ads.

1. Data controller

The controller is Peer Jansen — Wilhelmswerk (sole proprietorship), Am Sölenborn 9, 37085 Göttingen, Germany. See the legal notice for further details. Contact: support@wilhelmswerk.de.

2. Data on your device

The app stores the following only on your device:

  • settings,
  • Solo Puzzles and Daily Puzzle statistics,
  • recently used player or team names that you enter yourself and can delete in the app,
  • purchase status and the date of the last trial game.

If you use Apple device or iCloud backups, this information may be included in them. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data. Existing backups are managed through Apple.

3. Purchases and Family Sharing

The Full Version is purchased through Apple’s App Store using StoreKit. Apple handles payment, Family Sharing and purchase receipts. Wilhelmswerk receives no payment or personal data, only aggregate sales reports. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

4. Notifications

Your device schedules the Daily Puzzle Reminder for 4 pm. This is a local notification, with no push notification service. You can revoke permission at any time in iOS Settings.

5. Projectors and AirPlay

The operating system handles output to a second screen via cable or AirPlay. No data is sent to Wilhelmswerk.

6. Crash reports

Apple provides anonymised crash and usage data only if you have enabled “Share With App Developers” in iOS.

7. Schools and children

Running Robots can be used without an account. The app does not send students’ data to the developer; names entered in the app stay on the device. You can use team names instead of personal names and delete the entries in the app. For backups, see section 2.

8. These web pages and email contact

Visiting these pages creates server log entries. The website’s general Privacy Policy (German) covers these logs. It also explains how your sender address and message are processed if you email us.

9. Your rights

Where personal data is processed, the GDPR gives you rights of access (Article 15), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and objection (Article 21). To exercise these rights, email support@wilhelmswerk.de.

Under Article 77 GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.
